The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking an engaged consultant for Majoriaq Nuuk, who will work with rehabilitation, guidance, and case management. Majoriaq consultant for Nuuk
The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and committed consultant who will primarily work with rehabilitation, job placements, work ability assessments, outreach guidance with accompanying information to Majoriaq Nuuk, which is rapidly developing in accordance with applicable guidelines, so that the consultant can participate in the continuation of the ongoing development in the area.
The position is placed under the Municipality of Sermersooq’s administration for Welfare and Labor Market, Majoriaq Nuuk, where the department head in job and guidance is the immediate supervisor.

You will therefore work as a consultant in Majoriaq, where your task is to motivate young people and adults to be ready to start a job or education.
Content of the position:
·Case processing and registration of job seekers, education seekers, and course applicants
·Work ability assessment and case processing of early retirees and applicants
·Guidance and thereby execution of initiatives for the unemployed in match group 1-2
·Job placement
·Referral to rehabilitation
·Case processing and follow-up of rehabilitation cases
·Outreach guidance for young people under 30 years
·Case processing of applications for foreign labor
·Participate in the development of workflows internally in Majoriaq
·Contribute to developing cooperation with the labor market and educational institutions
·To collaborate with the other administrations in the municipality
·Participate in the operation, management, and follow-up of the economic tasks within the professional area
·To participate in solving various ad hoc tasks
Expectations:
·That you have education within the professional area, preferably with a social background
·That you have knowledge of the legislation within the social, education, and labor market area
·That you are robust and can keep multiple balls in the air
·That you have initiative and are inspiring to others
·That you meet people at eye level and with respect
·That you can participate in identifying wishes and needs in the labor market area
·Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal record:
This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
