The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking an AC Officer or Special Consultant for the staff in the Administration for Children & Family. The position is full-time and involves responsibility for financial management, coordination of tasks, and close collaboration with the head of staff. AC-Employee or Special Consultant for the Administration for Children & Family

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for an AC-Employee or Special Consultant for the staff in the Administration for Children & Family who will become a central key person.


The administration consists of Authority area, Intervention area, and Staff.
The staff currently consists of 10 employees divided into 3 teams – an economic administrative team, a consulting team, and an office employee team. The Children and Family Policy 2025 – 2035 is a central governance and development basis for the entire administration.

The position, which is a full-time position, reports to the head of staff. The position is a key function in the staff and involves close collaboration with the head of staff. You will act as the head of staff's sparring partner and administrative right hand with responsibility for creating an overview, coordinating cross-cutting tasks, and ensuring that significant cases and deliveries are followed through within set deadlines.

Content of the position:
We are looking for an preferably experienced AC-Employee or Special Consultant to join the consulting team and handle a number of tasks including:

·Data-supported analyses and work with key figures, including economic analyses

·Case presentations, consultation responses, and status reports with high linguistic quality

·Preparation of budget proposals, budgeting, and ongoing budget follow-up

·Financial management and contribution to forecasts as well as analyses of consumption and deviations

·Follow-up on political decisions and implementation of interventions

·Preparation of internal procedures, concepts, and quality assurance materials

·Process design and facilitation of seminars, theme days, and workshops

·Coordination of interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaborations

·Secretariat support for management forums and committees

·Have the overall responsibility for coordination and progress in complaint cases and requests for access to documents, including receiving and distributing cases, obtaining contributions from relevant professional areas, following up on deadlines, and ensuring that cases are completed and presented to the head of staff in a timely manner.

·Ad-hoc tasks


The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the other staff members as well as other administrations and relevant partners.

The positions entail significant responsibility for ensuring clear, precise, and strategic written communication – both internally and externally – as well as actively contributing to solid and transparent financial management.


Expectations for applicants:

·Have a relevant social science or administrative master's degree

·Have experience from a politically governed organization – preferably in the social area

·Be particularly strong in writing and able to translate complex issues into clear decision-making proposals

·Have experience with financial management, budgeting, and budget follow-up

·Have a strong organizational overview and thrive on coordinating complex tasks across the organization while ensuring that deadlines are met.

·Have good collaboration skills and can navigate securely in an organization with many stakeholders

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received a child certificate from the National Police as well as a criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.


Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.


The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period


Commencement travel:

Upon employment, free commencement travel is provided for the employee and their family and, at the earliest after 3 years, a corresponding departure travel, as well as you will receive relocation compensation according to applicable rules.

For both types of employment, it applies that the employee is covered by a separate agreement on group life.


Housing:
No staff housing can be assigned for the position.
