Nurse for the outpatient clinic at Ilulissat Hospital

A position as a nurse in the outpatient clinic, primarily associated with the nursing outpatient clinic, on weekdays, at Ilulissat Hospital, is available for appointment from October 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Ilulissat Regional Hospital functions as a medical practice, where nurses also have independent courses. In your daily work, you will primarily be responsible for the courses for citizens with chronic diseases. The work is very independent and requires that you can to a certain extent plan and perform nursing in the various courses in collaboration with the doctor.

As a nurse employed in the outpatient clinic, you will also triage calls, via the phone, from the city's citizens. Here, citizens are triaged to the various courses, which can be anything from acute injuries, acutely occurring illnesses, which are assessed and treated, often in collaboration with a doctor. In your daily work, you will be part of a team with 5-6 other nurses or assistants, a doctor, interpreters, a receptionist, and a pharmacist.

The working time norm is 40 hours weekly. The position mainly consists of day shifts on weekdays, and you will also participate in the work in the hospital's inpatient department every 2nd weekend. You report to the head nurse in the outpatient clinic.

The hospital also includes somatic and psychiatric home nursing, health visitors, radiology, laboratory, midwifery function, and an inpatient department with 21 beds. The inpatient department serves as an acute reception and emergency room after 4:00 PM and on weekends - for the city's approximately 5000 residents. The regional hospital is associated with four settlements, where telephone guidance is provided but also receives patients from.

We are looking for a colleague who:

• Wants to manage courses for chronically ill citizens
• Has experience from general medical departments, outpatient clinics, or general practitioners
• Enjoys working diversely and independently
• Likes new challenges
• Has high professionalism
• Contributes to a good working environment
• Is a trained and authorized nurse with 2 years of experience
• Preferably masters the Greenlandic language

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
