Nurses for Medical Ward M1 and M2 – Christmas and New Year Temporary Positions

Do you want to spend Christmas and/or New Year in Nuuk? – Then come and take a temporary position in the Medical Department at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Greenland.

We offer temporary positions that run through December and January starting between November 1 and December 1.
We prefer temporary positions with a duration of at least 3 months, but shorter periods can also be considered if you have the right experience.

If you are interested in other periods during the autumn or winter, we would also like to hear from you.

We cannot guarantee a white Christmas, but the chance is greater here than in most other places. In return, we can promise that there will be plenty of Christmas coziness.

Christmas in Nuuk starts already on the 1st Sunday of Advent and lasts until Epiphany on January 6. In December, there is plenty of atmosphere and Christmas events in Nuuk, and Christmas stars light up every window – if you are lucky, there is also northern lights. New Year's Eve is celebrated with two rounds of fireworks, as both the Danish and Greenlandic New Year are celebrated – and there will be no shortage of fireworks.

• Neurological rehabilitation processes
• Stroke and long-term illness processes

About us:

The Medical Department at Queen Ingrid's Hospital consists of two wards, M1 and M2, each with space for 16 patients. M1 exclusively has adult patients, while M2 has both adults and an integrated children's ward with 8 patients. The wards receive medical patients from all over Greenland. We take care of everything from assessment and diagnosis to care, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care – both for acute and planned patients.

The entire department has 26 nurses and 14 healthcare assistants and covers subspecialties such as infectious medicine, oncology, gastroenterology, nephrology, and cardiology. The Medical Department has 32 beds as well as a day ward and outpatient clinic. The department is led by a chief physician, a head nurse, and four department nurses.

Queen Ingrid's Hospital is Greenland's national hospital and regional hospital for the Sermersooq Region. It is a modern hospital with 108 beds, 70 beds in the patient hotel, and high-tech facilities. Here you will meet a strong professional environment and engaged colleagues.

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
