CUSTODIAN/HEATING TECHNICIAN WANTED FOR ILULISSAT REGIONAL HOSPITAL

A position as a custodian and heating technician at Ilulissat Regional Hospital is available for filling from September 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Ilulissat Regional Hospital is the hospital for Ilulissat, in the Avannaa Region, and is among the largest in Greenland. A number of important tasks are carried out, and it requires that all functions work well.

As a custodian and heating technician, you are therefore central to the functioning of the hospital.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The work is very versatile and very independent. In collaboration with the operations manager, you continuously plan the tasks. The primary functions are to:

• Monitor the hospital's installations including gases, alarms, etc.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the hospital's heating supply
• Assist with practical tasks related to furnishing and installation, etc.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance work at the hospital and its residences and in the district's villages
• Participate in daily operational planning and inspection of the buildings
• Ad hoc tasks such as shipping goods, etc.

WE EXPECT:

• That you preferably have a relevant vocational education
• That you have experience from previous employment
• That you are responsible regarding operations
• That you are stable, cooperative, and can work independently
• We prefer that you have good skills in both Danish and Greenlandic

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
