The Social Authority is seeking a process consultant to implement the Family Council Method for vulnerable children and young people in Greenland. The position involves teaching, facilitation, and process support in collaboration with the municipalities, focusing on interdisciplinary cooperation and the development of local networks.

Do you want to help strengthen and develop the Social Authority's efforts to implement the Family Group Conference method for vulnerable children/youth and their families in Greenland? Are you good at teaching, facilitating, and providing process support and do you focus on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

About the position
The position is located in the Family Group Conference team, which works to support the municipal initiative with family group conferences in the child and youth area across the country.

As a process consultant, you will work independently with teaching, facilitating, and process support in connection with the implementation of family group conferences around the coast of Greenland. The work takes place in close collaboration with the municipalities, particularly the family centers, and will involve a fair amount of travel activity. Furthermore, it is important to strengthen the municipalities' anchoring of the family group conference method through the establishment of local initiative leader and initiative taker networks as well as a teaching corps.

The tasks include, among others:

  • Preparation of framework agreements for teaching and implementation processes in collaboration with the municipalities
  • Development, adaptation, and handover of teaching materials
  • Planning and conducting teaching processes
  • Facilitation and support in the municipalities' implementation process
  • Ongoing supervision of initiative takers and coordinators
  • Help ensure registration and participate in evaluation processes
  • Edit and write texts for our website, prepare brochures, etc.
  • Participate in planning and facilitating meetings, workshops, and theme days within the family area
  • Ad-hoc tasks

About you
Our ideal candidate has a professionally relevant background in, for example, family therapy or treatment, as well as experience working in a development and project-oriented manner.

We imagine that you can recognize yourself in most of the points below:

  • Social worker, social pedagogue, or similar with further education in systemic family therapy or similar therapeutic education
  • Experience with systemic family treatment and preferably family group conferences
  • Experience with teaching, facilitating, and implementing, preferably from consultancy tasks in the municipalities
  • Experience with co-creation across professional disciplines
  • Desire to work in an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural environment, where each individual contributes to creating holistic solutions
  • Is development-oriented, flexible, and open to new tasks
  • Can work independently and dares to take responsibility and initiative
  • Is good at creating and maintaining relationships
  • Works systematically, structured, and solution- and development-oriented
  • Is bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish
  • Has solid knowledge of Greenlandic societal conditions, particularly in the social area.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for arrival and departure and relocation of belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization. Criminal and child certificate
The Social Authority reserves the right to obtain a criminal and child certificate. We therefore point out that employment can only take effect once the Social Authority has received a satisfactory child certificate from the National Police as well as a criminal record from the Police. The child certificate is obtained by the Social Authority with written consent from the individual, while the criminal record must be obtained by the individual themselves through the Police.

Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned for the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another housing owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the housing, ownership conditions, etc. There may be waiting time for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller housing cooperatives or hotel apartments, for which taxation occurs. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
