The Consumer and Competition Authority is seeking 1-2 lawyers for the Appeals Center. The position involves legal case processing, guidance, and legislative work. We are looking for results-oriented employees with experience and the ability to work systematically in a busy everyday environment.
The Consumer and Competition Authority is seeking 2 results-oriented and versatile lawyers for our Appeals Center.
The position involves legal case processing, guidance, teaching, legislative work, interdisciplinary collaboration, and coordinating functions. We are looking for a legal employee with case handling experience.
You must be flexible, have a proactive attitude, demonstrate social engagement, and thrive on tasks where solutions are not always predetermined. You should be able to understand new issues and help find solutions in complex cases – even when we haven't tried it before.
At the same time, you should be able to thrive in a busy everyday life with many tasks. This requires your ability to plan, structure, and prioritize, as well as being proactive and seeking to ensure progress in your tasks.
There may be a possibility of employment as Head of Appeals if your experience matches the requirements to be hired as Chief Consultant, or you may possibly be employed as a Special Consultant depending on experience.
About the job
You will have a central role in our Appeals Center, where you will be responsible for legal authority and development tasks. As Head of Appeals, you will take on a coordinating role and set the direction for professionalism. As a case handler, you will have a broad portfolio of tasks tailored to your interests and experience.
You should also be prepared to take on new tasks across the authority.
Your tasks will include:
Legal legislative work and consultation with other authorities
Legal coordination
Case processing
Training
Project management and/or participation in projects
Cross-departmental coordination with other departments and authorities
General legal tasks
Qualification requirements:
You have a legal master's degree (cand.jur.) and preferably experience with one or more of the following:
Experience from another case-handling authority
Insight into a politically governed organization and political decision-making processes
Interest in and preferably experience with projects, legislation, and case processing
Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues clearly – both in writing and verbally
Independent and solution-oriented approach with an overview of larger tasks and projects
Ability to work structured and shift focus as needed
Flexibility, thoroughness, and analytical approach to problem-solving
Good communication skills in Danish and English
Ability to cut through
Good social skills

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of employment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right verifiable competencies, employment may occur as a Special Consultant, Chief Consultant, or Senior Advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
