The Tunguusaq Kindergarten in Qaqortoq is looking for qualified educators for the nursery department to start on September 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The Tunguusaq Kindergarten is licensed for 44 children and has three rooms: two nursery rooms with space for 12 children each and one kindergarten room with space for 20 children.

*The kindergarten focuses on cultural values as well as creative activities and creative work based on the country's resources.

*We work affirmatively in our pedagogy, where the child's well-being and development are respected and prioritized.

There are 4 daycare institutions in Qaqortoq, where there is good cooperation between the leaders and the authorities, helpfulness is appreciated.

As a qualified educator, you will be responsible for the following in Aqqalu:

• Working with the Inatsisartut law on pedagogical developmental daycare for preschool children no. 62 of November 20, 2023.
• Participating in the work of implementing the kindergarten's objectives.
• Working with and having competencies regarding the kindergarten's goals, including the areas of intervention described above.
• Participating in the development and implementation of the annual plan.
• Active in parent cooperation.
• Supervising pedagogical work, continuous renewal
• Good at collaboration, mentally and physically strong.
• Able to set boundaries.
• Able to guide on problem-solving.
• Someone who can keep many balls in the air in pressured situations
• Has leadership experience
• Caring towards children

Child certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate and a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate is one of the decisive requirements in connection with the municipality's decision regarding who should be hired for the position.

Employment and salary conditions are in accordance with the agreement between the Self-Government and Perorsaasut Ilinniarsimasut Peqatigiiffiat.

A housing is provided for external applicants, for which rent etc. is paid according to applicable rules.
