The regional hospital in Qaqortoq is looking for dedicated nurses for temporary positions in the inpatient department and outpatient clinic. We are looking for committed, flexible, and professionally skilled nurses for temporary positions in the ward and outpatient clinic.

We offer temporary positions of 3-6 months duration with the possibility of starting by agreement.

About the position

As a nurse, you will be part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team where collaboration, professionalism, and independence are key words. You will have a varied workday with great influence and the opportunity to develop your skills.

The outpatient clinic

In the outpatient clinic, your tasks will include:

  • Telephone triage
  • Nursing consultations
  • Handling the emergency room function
  • Close interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors in connection with consultations

The ward

In the ward, you and your colleagues are responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing nursing care to hospitalized patients.

During evening and weekend shifts, nurses also participate in the triage of the city's citizens as well as handling the emergency room function. Therefore, you will have an exciting everyday life with both hospitalized and outpatient patients, where your professional assessment and independence are crucial.

Working hours

The position primarily includes day and evening shifts. Night shifts occur only rarely, as they are generally covered by healthcare assistants.

Work is generally scheduled every other weekend.

Additionally, you will be on standby from home about 4-6 times a month.

About the Regional Hospital in Qaqortoq

The Regional Hospital has 21 beds and receives patients from both Qaqortoq and the region's settlements.

You will be part of a smaller regional hospital with great professional breadth, where we treat all patient groups – from newborns to the elderly. The everyday life is diverse and offers great responsibility, close interdisciplinary collaboration, and good opportunities for both professional and personal development.

If you have a diploma, master's, or graduate degree, compensation is provided in accordance with the applicable agreement.

The standard working hours in Greenland are 40 hours per week.

Attached to the regional hospital are 7 settlements from which the regional hospital also receives patients.

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
