We are looking for a health care assistant for a nursing home in Tasiilaq. You will provide compassionate care for the elderly, collaborate with the manager to train unskilled staff, and contribute to development and well-being. The nursing home has room for 18 residents. There are about 28 employees at the nursing home, the staff consists of a manager and an assistant manager, health assistants, health care aides, cafeteria assistant, childcare worker, cleaning assistants, caretaker, and unskilled staff.
The content of the position:
We are looking for a healthcare assistant to participate in providing attentive and caring support for the elderly. Good care and support is our absolute top priority, and it requires us to develop the framework for quality care and to focus on sharp solutions. In this development process, you will play a significant role in collaboration with the manager and other colleagues.
We expect you to work with the manager to take on the task of training and developing the unskilled staff with the aim of improving the residents' well-being.

Working hours generally include every second weekend as well as evening and night shifts (2-3 times a week).

The position reports to the daily management of the nursing home.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff accommodation becomes available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for personal belongings are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
