Seeking Manager for the Disabled in Nanortalik

A position is available as a manager in the department for the disabled in Nanortalik. The role includes overseeing the work of support staff for residents in the housing facility and monitoring the support provided to individuals with disabilities in their own homes.

Position as a supervisor in the department of tasks for the elderly.

The position of department manager for the Nanortalimmi nursing home is available from March 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Sullivik Municipality is located under the Department of Social Services in Kujalleq, and the department is positioned below the coordinator for housing and services for people with disabilities.

  • In our community for people with disabilities, ensuring the coordination of daily activities in the recreational facility for people with disabilities is essential.
  • The work of the supporters of the community must be coordinated and monitored.
  • Inuit who have returned to their own homes are supported by those who provide support, and it is important to ensure that their coordination is maintained.
  • To ensure that requests for processing are handled according to the established guidelines for service to the elderly and disabled.
  • To ensure that the support staff in the home environment are trained and that the quality of the services is developed to the highest standards.
  • To ensure that work is carried out with dignity and to understand the various aspects of collaboration regarding the need for support from people.
  • To ensure close and continuous collaboration with partners within and outside the organization.
  • To ensure the annual report for the service providers is prepared.

We expect that you will have the following qualifications:

  • You are trained as a teacher or in a similar field in social work.
  • You will be very skilled at practicing.
  • You are exceptionally skilled in coordinating efforts for the losers' sorting.
  • You must be capable of completing tasks related to responsibility and accountability, and you should have the ability to innovate and generate new ideas, ensuring that plans are well-structured.
  • You have experience with both finance and technology, and you will also have skills in digitalization.
  • With the ability to express opinions and the ability to set goals, you will have the skills to achieve them.
  • You should have experience in decision-making in the administrative areas, as well as the ability to write and speak in both Greenlandic and Danish.

Atorfininneq and remuneration:

The terms of employment and benefits during the hiring process will be in accordance with the agreements in force between the Government of Greenland and the municipalities. Housing will be provided based on the number of family members for applicants from abroad, and expenses related to relocation and travel will be covered according to the applicable regulations.

Certificate of incapacity for work:

The law includes provisions regarding the right to obtain evidence of non-conviction for individuals with children and for those who have not committed offenses. According to the law, employment can only occur once the municipality has obtained evidence of non-conviction.

The experiment will take place over three months.
