The Correctional Service in Greenland is seeking an operations manager for the daily operation and maintenance of the Institution for Convicted Persons in Nuuk.

The institution for convicted individuals in Nuuk was put into operation in 2019 and has a total capacity of 76 places. The institution consists of 2 sections. A closed section with 40 places for those sentenced to detention and those held in custody, and an open section with 36 places for ordinary convicts, which are distributed across two buildings.
The Correctional Service in Greenland employs approximately 150 permanent staff members, of which about 60 are employed at the Institution for Convicts in Nuuk. The institution is thus the largest and newest of the six correctional facilities in Greenland.
You will help ensure that the institution's physical environment creates safety and security for both staff and inmates by effectively and qualitatively addressing both planned and urgent tasks. Among other things, you will collaborate with the institution's caretakers, for whom you may have personnel responsibility.
Your tasks will include:

Operational planning: Ensure systematic maintenance of buildings and facilities in accordance with D & V materials, including, among other things, management of CTS systems, ventilation systems, etc.

Prioritization and overview: Ensure that upcoming tasks and projects are prioritized and completed on time.

Implementation of agreements: Develop and incorporate operational manuals, service agreements, and other relevant tools to ensure efficient operations.

Collaboration: Close cooperation with the institution's management and staff, as well as with external advisors and suppliers.

Documentation and communication: Prepare and update relevant documentation and ensure clear communication regarding projects and tasks both internally and externally.

Advice regarding construction matters in other institutions: In the long term, there will be an opportunity for you to contribute to the management of maintenance work in the institutions along the coast.

Has a relevant background in, for example, facility management or another relevant operations-oriented education.

Works independently and in a structured manner.

Salary and employment conditions
You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement or on an individual contract. Salary and allowances are based on education and experience. The employment area is the Prison and Probation Service in Greenland. The position is a full-time position with an average weekly working time of 40 hours per week.
An unfurnished staff apartment can be assigned to the position. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules at any given time.
You are entitled to travel for arrival and departure, as well as relocation of household goods, according to the applicable rules at any given time.
