As Team Leader, you will have overall responsibility for drinking water in Ilulissat. You will oversee the operation and maintenance of water production and distribution networks, as well as the initiation of operational projects and new water pipelines/facilities. You will also be responsible for delivering drinking water to water tanks in collaboration with the private contractor.
As Team Leader, you will have overall responsibility for drinking water in Ilulissat.
The position is in the town of Ilulissat, known as the town by the icebergs. In the Ilulissat District, there are about 22 employees in the town and 4 employees in the surrounding areas. Your position as team leader will be in the water department, where you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of water production and the distribution network, as well as the registration of operational projects and new water pipelines/facilities.
In addition, you will have overall responsibility for the supply of drinking water to water tanks, which will be done in collaboration with the private contractor.
The employees in the water department are primarily responsible for supplying drinking water to the city's consumers and to the fishing industry.
Your primary tasks will be:

To ensure drinking water in accordance with applicable legislation (DDS).

Manage and develop the daily leadership of employees.

Planning, coordination, and compliance with the operational budget for the area of responsibility.

Assist with communication internally as well as externally in the District in consultation with the district manager.

Responsible for executing Nukissiorfiit’s strategies in the daily management of the team.

Education in marine engineering or higher technical education.

Energetic, resourceful, and eager to learn person who is willing to learn something new.

Has good collaboration skills across the organization.
-
Is involved in developing teamwork in the district so that we can continuously ensure customers a product that meets the applicable legal requirements and at the same time at the lowest costs.

It will be an advantage if you:

Preferably in both Greenlandic and Danish, but not a requirement.

Is good at navigating cultural differences that exist in the company and sees it as a strength.

Has a driver's license.

Has knowledge of IT.

It will be an advantage to have knowledge of, for example, ABB and SRO systems, but it is not a requirement as on-the-job training can be provided.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing can be provided for the position.
A free relocation travel and moving of belongings is provided upon employment, and after 3 years of continuous employment, a return trip for the entire household, including children under 18 years, is paid.
