About the position
With reference to Senior Technical Inspector, you will, together with other colleagues in the Ship Operations Department in Nuuk and Aalborg, manage operational matters for the company's ships and other units.
Work tasks
Your tasks will primarily consist of nautical as well as operational and maintenance-related tasks for the shipping company's ships, barges, and other units.
Nautical and regulation

Maritime regulations, including SOLAS, STCW, the Polar Code, BWC, MARPOL, ISPS, and ISM, as well as backup for the shipowner's DP-CSO.

Responsibility for nautical publications and nautical chart subscriptions

Maintenance and ongoing follow-up on safety and working environment on board

Preparation of docking plans and execution of dockings domestically and internationally in collaboration with colleagues in Aalborg.

Overview of shackles and other lifting equipment

Responsibility for the ships' communication systems, including equipment and subscriptions, as well as liaison to the shipping company's IT provider.

Purchasing and renewing subscriptions and nautical equipment, as well as an overview of the ship operations inventory in Nuuk.

Budgeting, accounting follow-up as well as reporting and documentation

Support and collaboration with other departments regarding the operation of the ships.

Driving tasks, participation in emergency preparedness, and other ad hoc tasks

Maritime education as a ship's captain, dual officer, or equivalent, preferably supplemented with practical sailing time.

Knowledge of the shipping industry, including applicable rules and laws regarding ship technical and administrative matters.

Good knowledge of IT, including the Office suite, Sertica, and SeaHealth.
