Nutrition Assistant

The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nutrition Assistant for the Integrated Institution Puiaq to start as soon as possible.

Puiaq is an Integrated Institution with 64 children divided into 4 rooms, 2 toddlers and 2 preschoolers. The staffing consists of a total of 15 staff members.

The integrated institution is located in scenic surroundings by the mountain and the sea and is situated on Jagtvej by the two towers.

The institution was opened in 2007.

The content of the position:

We are looking for an experienced Nutrition Assistant to join the daily cooking and take on a range of tasks including:

Ordering of food items

Can cook

·Can work independently

Can compose varied meal planning

Can cook for allergy sufferers

·Can cleaning according to self-control

We expect:

·That you are a trained Nutrition Assistant

·Has experience in preparing healthy food for children

·Has knowledge of cooking for allergy sufferers

Can cook for children aged 0-6 years with varying diets.

Can work independently

·Can cleaning in the kitchen according to self-control

·Cooperative

·That you are welcoming and positive towards children, staff, and parents

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
