Supervising Educational Consultant for the Daycare Department

If you want to help develop and ensure the quality of our many daycare services, you have the chance now. We are looking for a supervising educational consultant.

We work with quality development in daycare institutions based on the KIDS model. Your core task will be to supervise using KIDS 3 times a year in our 25 daycare institutions and 8 childminding arrangements as well as 3 private daycare institutions.

We work according to a positive and appreciative view of children, believing that every child is unique and has competencies, resources, and developmental potentials. As a supervising educational consultant, you contribute to ensuring this.

Your tasks:

Supervise the use of KIDS 3 times a year in 28 daycare institutions located in Nuuk, Paamiut, Tasiilaq, and Ittoqqortoormiit, as well as our 8 daycare arrangements located in Arsuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, Kapisillit, Kuummiit, Kulusuk, Isertoq, Sermiligaaq, and Tiilerilaaq.

We expect:

That you are proactive in seeking new knowledge in the field and can communicate the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical experiences.

That you can overview and coordinate your work within the broad field of the daycare sector.

That you have the opportunity to travel to Paamiut, Tasiilaq, Ittoqqortoormiit, Arsuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, Kapisillit, Kuummiit, Kulusuk, Isertoq, Sermiligaaq, and Tiilerilaaq alone.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Professional competencies:

Trained educator, preferably supplemented with a KIDS certification.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing: No staff accommodation can be provided for the position.
