The position of leading school inspector is advertised for occupancy from August 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

The staff at Tasersuup Atuarfia, students, and not least parents want a focused and visionary leader who, together with the rest of the management and the school's other staff, can elevate the school and create progress both pedagogically and in terms of results.

• There are about 430 students.
• There is a staffing of 55 teachers.
• The school is divided into 4 departments.
• The teachers are good at collaborating and welcome new colleagues warmly.
• There is also a large common hall where teachers and students can gather.
• There is a music room.
• There is a pedagogical workshop.
• There is teacher intranet and parent intranet.
• The school is working on a plan to improve the students' results.
• The teachers work in steps.
• A leader is also responsible for 3 villages and 6 home educators in shepherding places.

• Has the ability to lead, advise, and guide the teachers and supervise.
• There is an economic understanding and can work with large budgets.
• They follow up on the goals and can collaborate both upwards and downwards with respect for the different groups in the organization.

• That you are able to withstand pressure in your daily work.
• That you are loyal to your employers and employees.
• That you master Greenlandic and Danish well in writing and speech.

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who should be hired for the position.

The immediate supervisor of the chief school inspector is the head of schools in the DUAK Municipality of Kujalleq, located in the municipal administration in Qaqortoq.

EMPLOYMENT ON FAVORABLE TERMS

Employment is governed by the agreement of May 25, 2021, between the Government of Greenland and IMAK. For applicants who are already civil servants in Greenland, this form of employment can be continued.

To attract qualified applicants, employment is offered under an Agreement on Employment under Special Fixed-Term Conditions. This practically means that the employee and their family are granted a vacation trip after every 12 months of employment according to the applicable rules. In addition, a severance amount of 18,000 DKK per year of employment at 1991 levels is deposited into a closed account. The severance amount is paid out after the termination of employment.

Housing:

A housing unit will be made available, which will be paid for according to applicable regulations. However, there may be a waiting period for the housing. In case of a waiting period, the municipality will provide temporary accommodation, for which taxes will be paid according to applicable regulations.
