A social worker is sought for Nuussuup Atuarfia. The primary task is to coordinate the social work around the students at the school. Develop school-home collaboration, be a contact person for students in need, advise staff, create action plans and initiatives regarding substance abuse, well-being, and bullying.

Nuussuup Atuarfia is a public school with 375 students from grades 1-10. There are 18 regular classes and 11 special classes. The school employs 57 teachers, a deputy headmaster, and a headmaster.
Job Content
As a social worker, your primary task will be to coordinate the social work around the students at the school. This involves reaching out to students and parents, conducting conversations with children and parents, providing advice and guidance to the school's staff, and handling the school's case management concerning students.

Your tasks will include:
· Expanding and improving school-home collaboration
· Being a contact person for students requiring social work intervention
· Advising and guiding staff in working with children
· Conducting conversation sessions with students and parents
· Creating action plans for students or classes needing social work assistance
· Helping implement the action plans
· Providing social work sparring to staff
· Implementing initiatives at the school regarding substance abuse, well-being, and bullying
· Participating in the school's crisis management
Tasks are solved in close collaboration with the school's staff and management, as well as our external partners, such as social workers from the Family Administration, the Department of Health and Prevention, and MISI, and in networks with social workers from other schools.
Criminal Record and Child Certificate:
This position is subject to the law requiring the retrieval of a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police and the criminal record from the police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and Employment Terms:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization at the time of employment.
Employment will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
