Subject Teacher Substitute

The Greenlandic School of Vocational Education is seeking a substitute teacher for an indefinite period.

As a subject teacher, it is a requirement that you are educated at Kalaallisuuliornermik Ilinniarfik. Working as a subject teacher at Kalaallisuuliornermik Ilinniarfik is a challenging job that requires a commitment to the educational institution's guidelines for the curriculum.

You will enter a lively and exciting everyday life as a subject teacher at Kalaallisuuliornermik Ilinniarfik.

At the Greenlandic Language School, there are about 15-20 students, with students coming from different parts of the coast as well as from Sisimiut.

Your tasks will be:

• Design through PC programs: Beads and Avittat
• Leather sewing
• Sew with a sewing machine
• Processing of various seal skin types
• Evaluation of students' academic effort

• is educated at the Greenlandic School of Arts and Crafts
• has IT skills
• has good language skills in Greenlandic
• is punctual and responsible
• is service-minded
• has good collaboration skills
• is self-employed

The Greenlandic Costume School is Greenland's only school for national costumes. The Greenlandic Costume School is an independent institution under the Department of Education, Church, Culture, and Gender Equality. The Greenlandic Costume School is physically located in Sisimiut and has 5 employees (Director, Assistant, 4 subject teachers).

Housing

No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
