Majoriaq Nuuk is seeking 2 office assistants/caseworkers to manage increased workload and complexity in the authority and administration area. The position requires professionalism, social insight, and the ability to work independently. Applicants with an office education or social background are preferred. Start date desired by April 1, 2026.

Majoriaq Nuuk is seeking 2 office assistants / caseworkers for employment by agreement.

The position is being created due to an increased workload and rising complexity within the Majoriaq authority and administration area. There has been a significant expansion of documentation requirements, registration tasks, and quality assurance procedures, as well as an increase in the number of cases related to services, external labor, and citizen inquiries. The additional staffing is intended to ensure timely and legally compliant case processing, high professional quality, and stable operations. The desired start date is no later than April 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

The position is full-time and is located under the Municipality of Sermersooq's administration for Welfare and Labor Market, Majoriaq Nuuk, where the department head is the immediate supervisor.

Tasks in Majoriaq

The tasks are diverse and include, among other things:

·Counter service and telephone citizen contact

·Registration of job seekers in Winformatik and GetOrganized

Processing of applications and preparation of decisions

·Administration of quarantines and mobility-promoting services

Case processing regarding external labor.

Quality assurance of payment lists

·Ad hoc tasks in collaboration with other employees

The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the other team members and with reference to the department manager.

·Good collaboration skills

Bilingual candidates are preferred, but it is not a requirement.

·Has an office education or a social work background

Experience with authority work and knowledge of relevant legislation is an advantage, but not a requirement, as training will be provided.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
