The main tasks are processing, handling citizen inquiries, and various cases related to;
- Vehicle registration
- Immigration cases
- Passport applications
- Driver's license applications
- Civil cases
- Fine case
- Postponement proceedings
- Criminal records
This includes responding to or forwarding emails, ordering office supplies, interpretation/small translations, and other ad hoc office tasks.
About you
We imagine that you are office trained or that you have documented experience from an administrative position and with citizen services. It would be an advantage if you are proficient in both Danish and Greenlandic in writing and speaking. Furthermore, we expect that you can work independently as well as in close collaboration with other employees. It is a prerequisite for performing the job that you are reliable, positively inclined, and service-minded both towards citizens and colleagues.

There is close collaboration and the opportunity for sparring with the police staff in Uummannaq, as well as with the immediate supervisor and other administrative colleagues in Ilulissat. We ensure thorough training in the tasks, and you will also be trained in the Police's IT systems.

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, and the working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The workplace is at the police station in Uummannaq.
Salary and employment conditions
Remuneration will be based on education level, qualifications, and in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization.
A furnished staff apartment can be assigned to the position, for which you will pay the deposit, rent, and ongoing expenses yourself. The size of the apartment depends on the number of people in your household. Since there may be a waiting period for the assignment of a permanent staff apartment, a furnished temporary apartment will be made available to you in the meantime. You will not pay rent as long as you live in the temporary apartment, but there will be taxation on the free housing. A temporary apartment will not be made available if you are already residing in Uummannaq.
Household moving and relocation travel are provided in accordance with the applicable rules at any given time.
It is a requirement for employment that you can be security cleared, and you must also be able to maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.
