Tikiusaaq is situated in beautiful surroundings, near the football field/Inussivik and close to nature. The institution is designed for 96 children, divided into 2 departments: 36 children in the nursery department across 3 rooms and 60 children in the kindergarten department across 3 rooms, with a staff of 22. We prioritize creating a safe environment, allowing everyone to be themselves and enjoy being together, whether children or adults. We expect you to be a trained social helper or similar, attentive to children's needs, with a respectful approach to everyone, stable and cheerful, seeing opportunities rather than obstacles. Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. The institution is open daily from 7:00-17:00, with a staff of 22 including a manager, deputy manager, department head, 4 educators, 6 child/social helpers, 6 assistants, 1 kitchen assistant, 1 cleaning assistant, and 1 kitchen/cleaning helper. The position requires a criminal and child record check, which must be satisfactory before employment can commence. Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization, with a 3-month probation period.
