The Municipality of Sermersooq in Paamiut is seeking a technical project manager to oversee operations and maintenance projects related to the municipality's overall building and construction assets in Paamiut and the residential areas of Arsuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, and Kapisillit. You will be attached to our local administration, and your daily work will be based here. Your daily reference will be to the municipality's Operations Manager in Paamiut.
As a technical project manager, you will have an independent and responsible job with good opportunities for professional and personal development. You will work with diverse and varied tasks and projects related to the municipality's overall building and construction assets in Paamiut and the residential areas, including renovations, refurbishments, and maintenance of the municipality's buildings and facilities, as well as smaller construction projects.
Your main tasks will be:
Initiation, progress assurance, and follow-up on various operation and maintenance projects, including responsibility for managing time, quality, and finances.
Ongoing assessment of maintenance needs in relation to the municipality's total building and construction assets in Paamiut as well as the residential facilities.
·Provide local input to the municipality's operational and capital budget in collaboration with the department.
·Conduct supervision and ensure the implementation of tasks and projects within the agreed frameworks.
·Constructive sparring with colleagues, both locally in Paamiut and in Nuuk, regarding tasks and projects.
·Ad hoc tasks, primarily related to the operation and maintenance of the municipality's buildings and facilities
Your professional and personal competencies:
Experience with operations, maintenance, and project management
·Basic understanding of construction technology and accounting technology
·Knowledge of IT use, primarily the Office suite
You can handle many balls in the air.
You can communicate clearly and distinctly, both in writing and orally.
You have a high degree of independence, are positive, committed, and responsible.
You demonstrate flexibility in relation to work tasks.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Additionally, you must be prepared for a daily routine that is often unpredictable, which requires you to switch between different tasks throughout the day while still maintaining an overview. You should possess the ability to coordinate and thrive on being involved in many different tasks and projects.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing: The position may offer staff housing, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are payable according to the current rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary residence, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be payable according to the above. The start date depends on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
