Security Officer for the Department of Cyber and Information Security Do you want to help enhance information security in Greenland and strengthen work in cyber, risk, and preparedness? Information security is an area of increasing focus, and you will become part of a critical unit in the Digitalization Agency, tasked with increasing cyber and information security across the country.

About the Department of Cyber and Information Security

In the Department of Cyber and Information Security, we work daily with threat scenarios against Greenland, focusing on securing infrastructure, IT systems, data, and employees against vulnerabilities. The main task of the department is to strengthen cyber and information security in Greenland for the benefit of authorities, businesses, and citizens. You will work with classified information, security, and technical policies, and help ensure the quality of our work, supporting the integration of cyber and information security from concept to policy. We emphasize good collaboration and the use and development of each other's competencies.

Your upcoming tasks

• In collaboration with department staff, you will develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and guidelines, as well as procedures and instructions on cyber and information security. Your work areas will include:

Education and guidance in information security for central administration employees

Work on implementing ISO 27001. Initiate the development of new security instructions and technical policies for ISO 27001

Teach risk assessment preparation

Advise managers and employees on cyber and information security

Help prevent and report security breaches and other security incidents

Serve as a security officer regarding the handling of confidential information and security-cleared personnel

Collaborate across the central administration, and with defense and security authorities in Greenland and Denmark

Develop contingency plans and risk assessment templates

Work with guidelines and the use of risk assessments when purchasing new IT systems centrally and in municipalities

About you:

Good at creating an overview of tasks and being solution-oriented

Thrive with tasks that require persistence and diplomacy

Can take responsibility for your tasks and decisions

Can collaborate and network across an organization with many disciplines

Are professionally strong and quality-conscious

Have good oral and written communication skills

Experience working with organizational information security is an advantage, or experience from IT security, police, or defense

Professional knowledge of IT, digitalization, and cyber and data protection

Relevant higher academic education

Employment terms

It is a condition for employment that you can be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout your employment period. There will be an introduction and training program in connection with the position.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel and relocation expenses, in accordance with the agreement/contract in force at the time of employment between Greenland's Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of employment.
