Executive Secretary

Do you want to help shape the future of the Greenlandic healthcare system? We are looking for two executive secretaries for our Executive Secretariat. You will work closely with top management and be responsible for meeting preparation, coordination, and support. We offer professional challenges and opportunities for personal development in a dynamic and politically governed organization.

Would you like to help shape the future of the Greenlandic healthcare system? Do you have a sharp pen, a cool overview, and a desire to work closely with the top management in the healthcare sector? – Then you should apply for this position.

About us

The management of the Greenlandic Health Service is supported by the executive secretariat, which will be the department you will be associated with. The management works closely with the clinical leadership, regional and staff management to ensure the best possible health service. The operation of the Greenlandic Health Service is a complex task with political attention. Workdays are rarely the same, and the position requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize.

We are currently seeking two executive secretaries for our Executive Secretariat, which reports to the office manager of the secretariat.

What will your tasks be?

In the executive secretariat, you will have the opportunity to shape your role as a personal assistant (PA) to one of our directors. Your work will be crucial for ensuring that both development and operations run smoothly. You will also have the chance to help establish new processes and structures. The executive team consists of a director, a finance director, a medical director, and a nursing director – you will be close to where important decisions are made.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Conduct sparring: As happens with professional teams and management to ensure that tasks are solved in the best possible way.
  • Keep track of processes: Whether it’s about large strategies or small details, you are the one who has control over it all. From the status of progress, follow-up on decisions, and calling for various meeting forums.
  • Prepare meeting preparations and case presentations: As the director's closest employee, you will be tasked with ensuring meeting preparations, case presentations, and minutes for the areas of responsibility that the respective director oversees.
  • Coordinate: Calendar, meetings, travel, and visits – with overview and surplus.
  • Work at the intersection of the department and the healthcare system: You will engage with many branches of the healthcare system and our partners.

You will be part of a department with plenty of room for you to contribute ideas and influence our collaboration and work methods.

Who are you?

Perhaps you are a recent graduate with a strong drive, or you already have experience from the central administration, healthcare, or a politically governed organization – preferably with management support.

We know that no one can do everything – but we are looking for you who can do a lot:

  • Are you sharp? You have a handle on the details, write like a dream, and can quickly make the complex digestible for others.
  • Are you cool? When things get intense and everyone wants your attention, you keep your composure.
  • Are you a team player? You understand that we go further together and build relationships across the board.
  • Are you ready? To get started, think anew, and try things out – we are a new team, and there are no old habits to lean on.

What do we offer?

You will have responsibility from day one and the opportunity to make your mark on both your role and our workflows.

We offer professional challenges, sparring, close collaboration with decision-makers, and an important place in a team where engagement and ideas are valued.

You will have opportunities for personal and professional development with the tasks – whether you are newly graduated or experienced. We also value a good collegial community.

Are you ready to help develop one of society's core organizations? Send us your application – we look forward to hearing from you!
