Do you want to help develop and run a new unit with expertise in Greenlandic language and culture? We are looking for a social worker with experience in adult services and preferably family services. The unit advises municipalities on cases involving children, youth, and adults with a Greenlandic background, especially regarding placements.
Would you like to help develop and run a new unit that has expertise in Greenlandic language and culture? Are you interested in being an active co-creator of new ways to think about consulting? We see potential in strengthening the social work with the target group by bringing knowledge of Greenlandic language and culture closer to practice. Therefore, it is important that you have extensive knowledge and experience with Greenlandic language and culture. Additionally, if you have experience in the authority sector and are passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration, we would very much like to hear from you.
The unit is part of VISO's interdisciplinary environment, and we are at a point where we want to enhance and develop our advisory efforts so that we can even better meet the municipalities' need for specialized knowledge and the citizens' need for targeted support. We are seeking a social worker who has experience in the adult sector, preferably in combination with knowledge from the family sector.

The unit shall advise municipalities in cases involving children, young people, and adults of Greenlandic background, particularly in cases where the placement of a child or young person is being considered.
The advisory tasks will particularly consist of:

Handle and oversee the municipalities' inquiries to VISO regarding advisory and investigation processes.

In collaboration with VISO's external specialists, to organize and ensure the quality of advisory and assessment processes through dialogue with the municipalities.

Provide advice and consultative assistance to VISOs users through our telephone counseling.
Your profile
You are a trained social worker, preferably supplemented with relevant further education, and have experience with adults and preferably children and families with Greenlandic background. You have experience with authority work, knowledge of quality in social work, and thrive in an advisory role towards authority advisors in municipalities.
It is important for us that you can work methodically, systematically, data-supported, and are able to apply your professional judgment and experience in a collaborative manner. You should be able to create an overview in complicated issues and collaborative relationships and be able to work to support positive change in the environment and work with the involvement of the citizen.

The National Knowledge and Special Advisory Organization (VISO) and Disability are combined in one center and consist of approximately 60 employees with various professional backgrounds. VISO has contracts with nearly 70 nationwide providers, who are among the country's most skilled specialists in special counseling and assessment in particularly complex cases in the fields of social services and special education.

Salary and employment conditions
The position is a permanent full-time position starting on April 1, 2026.
Your job title will depend on your educational background, and the salary will be determined based on experience and skills. Employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and the relevant organization.
The employment area of the position is the Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing with associated institutions. The workplace is the Social and Housing Agency, Lerchesgade 5, 5000 Odense C.
