Surgical outpatient clinic seeks a dedicated nurse for a permanent position. You will work with orthopedic surgery, parenchymal surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT. Experience with endoscopies is an advantage. We offer a dynamic workplace focused on professional development and a good working environment. Application deadline is January 21, 2026.

Do you thrive in a dynamic department with high professionalism and varied tasks? Do you enjoy a daily routine with many balls in the air alongside engaged, present, and humorous colleagues? Would you like to be part of a strong and supportive collegial community? – Then you are exactly who we are looking for.

The surgical outpatient clinic has been expanded and is therefore seeking a dedicated and independent nurse for a permanent position in the surgical outpatient clinic.

Who are we?

You will meet dedicated and professionally skilled colleagues who focus on the patient and make an extra effort for a cohesive patient journey.

All your skills will come into play, and we have a strong focus on ongoing development both professionally and personally with courses, theme days, and internal training in the department.

The surgical outpatient clinic consists of a stable group of employees that spans a wide range in terms of age and seniority, and values good collaboration highly, with room for humor and professional sparring.

You will have an exciting everyday life with professional challenges in the specialties of orthopedic surgery, parenchymal surgery, urology, gynecology, and ear-nose-throat. In addition, we have Greenland's only endoscopy department with endoscopic examinations daily, so experience with endoscopy will be an advantage, but not a requirement.

We encompass many different specialties, and we have specialty managers and key personnel associated with them to ensure the professional standard.

Your training will start within urology as we need to ensure that there are staff competencies for these daily examinations. Later on, you will receive training in the other specialties.

We are traveling on a coastal tour with endoscopy and the ENT specialty to 10 different towns and villages in Greenland. You will be able to participate in the coastal trips once the competencies for this are in place.

In the Surgical Outpatient Clinic, you will work in the brief meeting with the patient, where we place a high priority on patient safety in the effective patient process. We also use the electronic patient journal system, Cosmic. IT will be a significant part of your everyday life.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00.

We are looking for a nurse who:

  • Is independent with good collaboration skills, responsible, and curious.
  • Is focused on utilizing their expertise, learning new things, and prioritizes professionalism and quality highly.
  • Is flexible, positive, and welcoming.
  • Has experience or interest in short patient pathways.
  • Prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration highly.
  • Has knowledge of IT – preferably Cosmic.

We offer:

  • A thorough introduction and training.
  • On-call position.
  • An exciting and challenging workplace with a high professional standard.
  • Dynamic team that values community, humor, and a good working environment highly.
  • Opportunity for development both professionally and personally with ongoing theme days and courses.
  • A dedicated and professionally skilled staff group that is in constant development.

Commencement can take place as soon as possible or by agreement.
