MISI Kujalleq is seeking a dedicated psychologist to work with children and youth in South Greenland. The position involves psychological assessments, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will be part of a strong team and work to promote children's well-being and development.

MISI Kujalleq is looking for a dedicated and professionally curious psychologist to be employed from August 1, 2026, or by agreement.

About MISI Kujalleq

MISI Kujalleq is based in Qaqortoq and provides pedagogical-psychological counseling throughout the Municipality of Kujalleq. We serve schools and daycare institutions in Qaqortoq, Narsaq, Nanortalik, as well as the surrounding settlements, and work with children and young people aged 0–18 years.

You will become part of a close-knit and dedicated team consisting of:

  • Chief psychologist
  • Psychologist
  • Consultant for special education
  • MISI Consultant
  • Office assistant

About the position

We are looking for a psychologist who thrives in a diverse and meaningful job close to children and young people with various needs and challenges.

A large part of the work will consist of:

  • Psychological assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents aged 0–18 years
  • Observations, conversations, and assessment processes
  • Advice and guidance for parents, teachers, and educators
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with schools, daycare institutions, and other partners.
  • Sparring and collaboration with MISI's other professionals
  • Preparation of professional assessments, reports, and statements
  • Participation in development and quality work in the special area

We are looking for you who:

  • Is a trained psychologist
  • Has experience with or interest in special educational work, counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Has competencies in: guidance, counseling, and communication; observation, pedagogical assessments, testing, and preparation of professional statements and reports.
  • Has good collaboration and communication skills in relation to children, parents, schools, daycare services, and partners.
  • Can work independently, structured, and with a holistic approach.
  • Has the will for ongoing professional development and updating of knowledge within the specialty area.

The position is compensated according to the applicable collective agreement between the Government and the Academic Organizations.

Housing and employment conditions

Housing is allocated according to applicable regulations. Due to the housing situation, temporary accommodation in a vacant property is to be expected.

Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to applicable regulations.

Child certificate

The position is subject to regulations regarding the procurement of a child certificate.
