Consultant

The Municipality of Sermersooq's administration for Welfare and Labor Market is seeking a skilled and dedicated consultant who will primarily work with job placement, job clarification processes, and rehabilitation for Majoriaq Nuuk, which is rapidly developing in accordance with current guidelines, so that the consultant can participate in the continuation of the ongoing development in the area. The desired start date is no later than March 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Majoriaq facilitates the connection between employers and job seekers, ensuring that jobs are filled with local labor. This means that Majoriaq must have an overview of the demand in the business sector and match it with the skills that job seekers possess. If the job seekers lack the necessary skills, they should be upskilled as much as possible to meet the competency needs of the business sector.

The position is full-time and is located under the Municipality of Sermersooq's administration for Welfare and Labor Market, Majoriaq Nuuk, where the department head is the immediate supervisor.

You will work as a consultant at Majoriaq, where your task is to motivate young people and adults to prepare to start a job or an education.

The content of the position:

Case processing of JSY applicants

Case processing of applications for benefits during illness

·Administration of JSY applications in GetOrganized

Case processing/registration of job seekers, education seekers, and course applications

·Work instructions

·To work with concrete job searching and CV, counseling, problem-solving, motivation, and inspiration with the citizen at the center

·Independent planning position where the citizen is at the center

Case management and follow-up on ongoing cases

·To collaborate with the other departments in the municipality

·To participate in the solution of various ad hoc tasks

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be assigned to the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental unit, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date depends on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
