Qasigiannguit Hall is seeking a Sports Hall Manager to oversee the sports hall, including daily operations, cleaning, service, and collaboration with users. The position requires independence, good communication skills, and commitment. Experience in cleaning is an advantage. Employment will be in accordance with applicable agreements, and a criminal and child certificate is required.
We are looking for a Sports Hall Manager for Qasigiannguit Hall.
The Municipality of Qeqertalik, under Timi Tarni in Qasigiannguit, is seeking a Sports Hall Manager to start on March 20, 2026, or by further agreement.

The sports hall was established in 1990, initially as an independent institution and later taken over by the municipality. The sports hall consists of the large hall, the cafeteria (which is leased), the gym, and – during the winter season – rental of cross-country skis and maintenance of trails. Additionally, the responsibilities include outdoor fitness and maintenance of both the city's and the children's artificial grass pitches. The sports hall also collaborates closely with Timi Tarni's annual calendar, which consists of various events throughout the year. The leader of the sports hall, in collaboration with the employee(s), develops a good structure for both internal and external cooperation.
We are looking for a person who can work independently and loyally, who has good communication skills, and who is stable both professionally and mentally.
Work tasks
As the Sports Hall Manager, you will be responsible for among other things:
To ensure thorough and daily cleaning in the sports hall.
The daily operation of the sports hall
·Service and collaboration with the users
To be creative in sports and foster good collaboration among all users.
To contribute to increased physical activity year-round in collaboration with users and the city.
·To be committed, proactive, and innovative
To handle office work and budget tasks safely and systematically.

Professional qualifications
There are no requirements for a specific education to become a Sports Hall Manager. Experience in social work may be taken into account in the assessment.
It would be an advantage if you have experience in cleaning or have a certificate in the field.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government and the negotiating organization.
No staff housing can be offered for the position.
Criminal and child certificate:
This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.
