The Avannaata Municipal Rescue Service in Ilulissat is seeking a service- and collaboration-oriented materials manager for employment starting June 15, 2026, or by agreement.
Daily tasks include keeping the station clean and tidy, other maintenance work, supervising materials at the fire station, washing turnout gear after drills and call-outs, and supervising fire extinguishers in all municipal buildings in Ilulissat as well as in the settlements. Supervision of fire inspections in the settlements of Ilulissat in collaboration with the Emergency Inspector.
A firefighter-trained materials handler is sought, preferably with a craft education and a driver's license of at least category C (trucks), bilingual in Greenlandic/Danish.
Employment will be subject to the presentation of a clean criminal record.
Compensation and employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland, the Ministry of Finance, and SIK for hourly-paid skilled and unskilled workers.
No housing is provided for the position.
