SEARCH THIS POSITION As our current principal for GUX in Nuuk has chosen to step down, we are now looking for a principal. A principal who is passionate about developing and motivating both students and staff, and who possesses resilience and the ability to keep a cool head when challenges and situations arise that require action, thoroughness, and oversight.

Professional and pedagogical development and collective actions on challenges are highly prioritized and should continue to be a core part of the school's backbone in the future, not least because the school is an active part of the national development work to strengthen the GUX education, where changes, challenges, and opportunities are part of the development process and daily life.
Your main responsibilities will be:

-
outwardly in relation to society
We are therefore looking for a rector candidate who can meet the following qualifications:

-
Has strong administrative and financial skills - our principals must be well-grounded in finance and budgeting.
-
Is able to act in a changing and complex everyday life with controlled pulse and overview, and set clear frameworks for development at the school.
-
Has strong strategic abilities and is able to translate visions into goals and results.
-
Is visible, robust, and clear in the management of independent, professionally specialized educators, and can create direction, engagement, and followership among employees.
-
Is able to engage broadly and set ambitious, realistic, and qualified goals, follow up on goals, and ensure progress.
-
Is collaborative and can build strong relationships both internally and externally.
-
Has a strong communicative and strategic sense that can help ensure decisions are anchored in the organization.
-
Very much likes to speak and understand Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
-
Has the will and ambition to create the best possible results and opportunities for as many young people as possible.
-
Has relevant academic education and teaching competence in at least one subject at the upper secondary level.
