At the port in Narsaq, we are looking for an independent, proactive port manager to start soon, who wants to be part of an exciting and modern company with a varied everyday life.
Royal Arctic Line plays a central role in connecting the Greenlandic community with the outside world. As the port manager in Narsaq, you will have a central role in servicing the local community, where you lead the daily operations and act as the company's representative locally.
The tasks will primarily consist of:

Administrative tasks, including budget monitoring, financial management, and approval of expenses.

Overall responsibility for terminal operations, warehouse, freight documentation, and correct invoicing of services.

Shipping expedition of Royal Arctic Lines ships as well as other ship calls.

Ongoing planning and management of employees as well as ensuring optimal staffing and resource utilization.

Customer care and ensuring a high level of service for the port's users.

Management of port authority in accordance with applicable port regulations.

Ensuring that applicable instructions, work procedures, as well as ISO and ISPS requirements are adhered to.

Responsibility for the maintenance and operational reliability of equipment and tools.
Professional qualifications
We expect that you have management experience from a similar position, and that through your leadership you are able to prioritize and delegate tasks. You have a good business understanding and experience with financial management. You have knowledge of IT at the user level and preferably experience with operational and planning systems. You can communicate in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
