Satellite Technician

You will be assigned to the transmission team, which is part of the transmission department with a total of 22 employees, distributed between Nuuk and Aasiaat.

Here you will have the opportunity to help ensure the ongoing development in the satellite field and the operation of the satellite systems at Tusass.

An important role that helps support communication in the cities that are not part of the submarine cable connection.

You will have a close collaboration with our technicians and management team, so it is important that you have strong communication skills and are able to simplify complex technical language.

Together, you play a crucial role in future-proofing the infrastructure for the country's communication.

About the position

Most of your time will be spent in the office in Nuuk, but depending on the task, travel activity may be necessary, and especially in the first few months, you should expect travel activity, as it is important to have a basic understanding of the practice.

The tasks include:

• Planning and execution of maintenance as well as troubleshooting of satellite connections, including ensuring root cause analysis.
• Analyzing current and future satellite solutions to ensure optimal configuration of Tusass' satellite system.
• Participate in project work and perform project management on smaller projects, ensuring expected quality at all times.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and debugging across departments within the subject area.

Your profile

You are self-employed and understand the responsibility that comes with the position.

You are thorough and can maintain an overview and calm in a sometimes very busy everyday life.

In addition, we would like you to:

• Is educated as an Electronics Technician, Engineer, or has equivalent technical education.
• Has experience from similar employment or tasks in telecommunications.
• Has a strong technical understanding of the satellite field, including knowledge of relevant systems.
• Speaks Danish and English – Greenlandic is a clear advantage, but not a requirement.
