Psychologist for MISI (Pedagogical Psychological Counseling)

About the position As a psychologist at MISI, you will play an important role in promoting the well-being, development, and learning of children and young people. Through practice-oriented counseling and a holistic approach, you will work to strengthen the child's environment in their approach to the child. At MISI, we look at the whole – the child, the social communities, the learning environment, and the adults around the child – and your task will be to create solutions that promote well-being and learning in everyday life.

In your daily work, you will among other things:

·Psychological professional responsibility for a school and participation in assessment work

·Advising parents and conducting conversations focused on children's well-being and development

Preparation of pedagogical-psychological assessments and annual follow-up on special education.

Conducting child interviews with an emphasis on the child's perspective

Interdisciplinary collaboration and psychological professional sparring with relevant professionals.

·Ad hoc tasks in agreement with the immediate supervisor

We are looking for a psychologist who:

·Has a master's degree in psychology (Cand.psych or equivalent)

·Has an interest in the pedagogical-psychological field and working with children in daycare and schools.

·Thrives in a versatile and independent job, where you have influence over your task resolution.

Is strong in communicating and building trust and collaboration across professional groups and families.

Wants to contribute to the development of inclusive and progressive learning environments in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
