Tasersuup School is looking for 15 teachers.

Tasersuup Atuarfia is seeking teachers for employment starting August 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

The schools' work on development in Municipality Kujalleq plays a central role. They are in the process of improving grades. It has been several years since they started using iPads, so we are keeping up with developments in the IT field. We are looking for competent teachers who can influence the development work.

Tasersuup school

At Tasersuup Atuarfia, you will meet teachers who collaborate well. The school has a social worker who acts as a coordinator between the various instances and as a strength in the work against bullying and in collaboration with parents. The teachers teach based on their subject competencies. Kommune Kujalleq holds continuous effective courses for its employees to create good collaboration and innovation. In connection with Kommune Kujalleq's care for its employees, coffee and tea are served every day and breakfast is offered once a week. Furthermore, students with special needs can have breakfast at school every morning as well as during the lunch break.

One can particularly note that the school continues to work on the development of parental collaboration. In the use of iPads in teaching, there is a collaboration with four special mentors and particularly skilled students in connection with the Kivitsisa project.

Qaqortoq is the largest town in South Greenland with over 3,000 inhabitants. Tasersuup Atuarfia has 430 students. There are 33 classes including special classes, such as Tungujortuaraq. There are in total - teachers. There are skilled and experienced ones but also some newer leaders. There are four divided levels, which are educational and developmental consultants, and we have a good collaboration with village teachers and home teachers who also advise the sheep farmers, IT/iPad consultants, school consultants, and other agencies.

Furthermore, the school manages a leisure center/school care program as well as a student home.

Child certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate and a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate is one of the crucial requirements in connection with the municipality's decision regarding who should be hired for the position.

Induction trip

In connection with the employment, the employee and their family have their travel expenses covered, and after three years, their travel will be paid if the teacher leaves the job, and according to the rules, allowances are provided during the move.

EMPLOYMENT ON FAVORABLE TERMS

Employment is conducted in accordance with the agreement of May 25, 2021, between the Government of Greenland and IMAK. For applicants who are already civil servants in Greenland, this form of employment can be continued.

To attract qualified applicants, employment is offered under an Agreement on Employment on Special Fixed-Term Conditions. This means in practice that the employee and their family are granted a vacation trip after every 12 months of employment according to the applicable rules. Additionally, a severance amount of 18,000 DKK per year of employment at 1991 levels is deposited into a closed account. The severance amount is paid out after the termination of employment.

Personal residence

Housing can be allocated for which rent and deposit are paid according to applicable regulations.
