Administrative Employee

An administrative employee for Materialgården in Nuuk is sought. You will handle inquiries, register work orders, invoice, and perform various administrative tasks. The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a dynamic administrative employee for the Material Yard in Nuuk under the Administration for Construction and Environment. They are looking for an outgoing person with in-depth knowledge of administrative tasks within accounting in a department. The position is to be filled as soon as possible or by mutual agreement.

As an administrative employee in Materialegården, you will have the following tasks, among others:

  • Handling of incoming inquiries from citizens and partners
  • Registration and follow-up on work orders, material consumption, and time tracking
  • Invoicing of paving tasks
  • Expedition of timesheets to the payroll office
  • Administrative tasks such as invoicing, purchasing, and contract management
  • Invoicing accounting
  • Orders to external partners on behalf of the operations manager and operations assistant
  • Various ad hoc tasks

You have:

  • Solid administrative experience from similar tasks
  • Professionally engaged and proactive
  • Can work independently, responsibly, and service-oriented.
  • Good communicator
  • Has IT skills at user level
  • Stable, loyal, and in good spirits
  • Systematic and structured
  • Good language and writing skills in Danish and Greenlandic, but not a requirement.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
