IPPS - The Council for Human Rights is seeking an engaged bilingual Greenlandic/Danish administrative officer, as our administrative officer has chosen new challenges.
The upcoming AC officer will, together with their colleague, contribute to promoting and protecting human rights in Greenland through analysis, communication, and concrete development work.
We are looking for a bilingual Greenlandic/Danish profile with strong communication and collaboration skills, who thrives in a small secretariat with a wide variety of tasks – from strategic analysis to practical implementation.
About the position
You will become a central part of the secretariat and have a versatile role, where you work at the intersection of human rights, politics, and society.
Your tasks will include, among other things:

Contribute to analyses, consultation responses, and reports focusing on the implementation of human rights in legislation and practice.

Participate in collaboration with your colleague to monitor the human rights situation in Greenland and identify areas in need of improvement.

Plan and develop strategic communication, including content for inputs to the website and social media.

Project management, fundraising, and implementation of communication and development projects

Contribute to the secretariat support of the Council, including the preparation and facilitation of council meetings.

Handle inquiries from citizens and partners
About you
We imagine that you:

Is bilingual in Greenlandic/Danish and preferably English.

Has a relevant higher education degree

Has strong written and verbal communication skills

Has experience with project management or development tasks (an advantage, but not a requirement)

Has an understanding of the interplay between politics, administration, and human rights.

Thrives with both independent work and close collaboration in a small team.

IPPS - The Council for Human Rights is an independent organization that works to strengthen awareness of and implementation of human rights in Greenland.
We are a small organization with 3 employees, and therefore some of the tasks may overlap and not be assigned to individual employees.
