Consultants/Scheduling Planners for the Greenlandic Health Service

The Greenlandic Health Service is in the process of implementing the duty scheduling system PDC-VagtPlan and is seeking consultants/scheduling planners with strong professional, digital, relational, and communication skills.

You will have the opportunity to be part of building a new central function that will ensure consistent and quality-based shift planning across all of Greenland. As part of the central team, you will play an important role in both the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan and the subsequent operation, support, and further development of the shift planning area.

In the first part of the employment, you will be closely involved in the implementation of the system, including configuration, customization, and support of the individual departments' duty schedules. Once the system is operational, you will continue to play a central role in ensuring the effective use of PDC-VagtPlan, advising managers and local duty schedulers, as well as further developing workflows and solutions.

These are permanent positions with a workplace in Nuuk.

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Contribute to the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan, including configuration, setup, and customization of the system to meet the needs of individual departments.
• Support the transition to new workflows and ensure a good anchoring of the system in the organization.
• Advise and support leaders and local shift planners in the use of PDC-VagtPlan.
• Ensure the quality of duty schedules and contribute to compliance with working time regulations, collective agreements, and local agreements.
• Ensure a good use of data from the shift planning, so that managers have a better basis for making decisions about resources and capacity.
• Prepare guidelines and teaching materials as well as conduct teaching as needed.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of workflows, principles, and standards for shift planning.
• Advise and consult with managers and leaders on complex scheduling issues.

• Has experience with shift planning, preferably from a complex operational environment.
• Has experience with electronic duty roster systems and preferably experience with PDC-VagtPlan or similar duty roster systems.
• Has an interest in and preferably experience with configuring and customizing digital solutions.
• Has an understanding of the relationship between shift planning, working time regulations, collective agreements, and operations.
• Has strong skills in planning, coordination, and quality assurance.
• Thrives on advising, teaching, and collaborating across the organization.
• Works in a structured manner, independently, and with an eye for both details and the whole.
• Is flexible regarding travel activity.

• Has experience from the healthcare sector
• Has experience with the implementation or further development of digital systems.
• Has experience in supporting users and super users in the use of digital solutions.
• Has knowledge of working time regulations and collective agreements

Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Candidates with relevant experience and special skills may be offered employment as a specialist or chief consultant.
