Secretary for Oqaasiliortut responsible for case processing and terminology Oqaasileriffik in Nuuk is looking for an employee for a position as an assistant, consultant, or AC assistant with the function of secretary for Oqaasiliortut (Greenland's Language Council). The position is desired to be filled as soon as possible or by further agreement.
The position will be classified as an assistant, consultant, or AC assistant depending on qualifications and experience.
About the position
As the secretary for Oqaasiliortut, you will play a central role in serving the Greenlandic Language Committee and in the professional work with the Greenlandic language.

Your work tasks will include: Secretariat support for Oqaasiliortut, including case processing and preparation of meetings, cases, and decision-making materials.

Preparation of minutes and follow-up on the committee's decisions

Language processing and terminology work

Documentation and analysis work focusing on the Greenlandic language

Participation in collaborative projects concerning Greenlandic as well as possibly other Inuit languages and Nordic languages.

Response to linguistic inquiries from citizens and authorities as part of Oqaasileriffik's response service.
The position involves both independent professional work and close collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
Qualifications

Has a solid background knowledge and documented experience working with the Greenlandic language.

It is a requirement that you master: Greenlandic at a native level or an equivalent very high written and spoken level.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
