The Municipality of Kujalleq is seeking a colleague for the position of advisor in the Department of Social Services / Management, to be appointed on February 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement.
In the context of social services, as a manager in municipal urban and rural areas, you will play a central role in ensuring quality in the coordination and provision of services related to assistance for the elderly and pensioners.
You will be responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with management, consultations, service guidance, as well as applicable laws and municipal regulations.

Your responsibilities include:

All recommendations from the social services department and the social service offices to the social welfare committee must ensure that they are forwarded to the central social services department and that all recommendations contain the necessary information and documentation.

The decisions of the Committee for Social Affairs ensure that the services are implemented in accordance with the relevant authorities.

Participation in the consultation regarding the new regulations on social services.

Participation in the processing of cases concerning employees in the Municipality of Kujalliup's social services, such as recruitment, warnings, dismissals, adjustments of job descriptions, and other related matters.

Regarding complaints, ensuring coordination in the workplace and timely provision of necessary information related to complaints.
The law requires that the case in question provides evidence of non-offending behavior for children. The municipality of Kujalleq can only take action after assessing the evidence of non-offending behavior for children.
The employment conditions and regulations for civil servants and employees in the municipalities are governed by the agreement between the Government and the Trade Union of Public Employees regarding the roles of social advisors and caseworkers.
Housing can be provided for the elderly, and in this regard, housing costs and other expenses will be covered according to applicable regulations.
According to the applicable regulations, the costs of relocation and the disposal of assets must be covered after the termination of employment within a maximum of three years.
