School Care Manager for Angajo Ilulissat

School Care Angajo in Avannaata Kommunia Ilulissat is seeking a manager for employment starting February 1 or by agreement.

The manager's immediate supervisor is the Head of the Leisure and Health Department in Avannaata Kommunia Ilulissat.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Work based on the political objectives for children and youth in Avannaata Kommunia

· Enhance the professional and personal competencies of staff through internal and external theme days, professional activities, and courses

· Introduce new pedagogical working methods

· Ensure a safe and secure daycare for children, parents, and staff

· Develop an information brochure about the daycare

· Work purposefully with new ideas and policies

· Daily close collaboration with the deputy manager

Qualifications:

· Trained educator or equivalent

· Experience in staff management and administration in a daycare setting

· Be responsible, have an overview, and the ability to empathize and adapt

· Handle stressful situations, and be flexible, cooperative, approachable, and stable

· Good physical and mental health, and an open and cheerful disposition

· Be prepared to work based on the daycare's objectives and action plans

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the authorized negotiating organization at the time of employment.

No housing is provided for the position.

Employment is contingent upon satisfactory criminal records, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police after the applicant's signature.
