Social Worker

The age-integrated institution Mikisoq is designated for 24 children aged 0-2 years and for 20 children aged 3-6 years.

The staffing norm is 12 staff members and is distributed as follows: Leader, deputy manager, 2 educators,

3 child and social care assistants, 3 helpers, Nerisassiortoq and cleaning assistant and a flyer.

The institution is open from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is located near the city center in Tasiilaq.

The Institutions Department offers ongoing training tailored to the daycare environment and the leadership team.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
