The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a museum manager for the Ittoqqortoormiit Museum. The position involves daily operations of the museum, which has both permanent and changing exhibitions. We are looking for an initiative-taking person with an interest in culture and communication, who can communicate in Danish, Greenlandic, and English. Flexible hours and opportunities for independent development are offered.
The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a museum manager for the Ittoqqortoormiit Museum. The position involves the daily operations of the museum.
Ittoqqortoormiit Museum is a newly renovated building and is a small museum that plays a big and important role in the local community. The museum has permanent exhibitions with historical artifacts and changing exhibitions in collaboration with Nuuk Local Museum.
As the museum manager, you will be responsible for the operation of the museum and will oversee the openings throughout the year.
We are looking for a museum manager who is:

To be the focal point of the city's cultural life
You can communicate in Danish, Greenlandic, and English, both in writing and orally.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
