At Royal Arctic Line, you will play a central role in the staffing and personnel administration of our ship crews and become part of a safe HR environment in Nuuk.

About us

Royal Arctic Line operates a fleet consisting of 10 cargo ships and one passenger ship. The crewing department in Nuuk plays a central role in ensuring optimal staffing and well-being among our maritime employees.

The department consists of Crew and HR. The Crew team consists of three employees – including you – and works with the maritime staff on board the ships.

The HR team consists of three HR consultants responsible for land-based employees. In addition, the department is associated with a training coordinator and an AU HR trainee.

The position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in HR within the maritime sector.

After employment, there is also the opportunity for a short stay on one of the company's ships to gain insight into life at sea.

The position

As a Maritime HR Consultant, you work with both operational and development-oriented HR tasks. The position requires an overview, collaboration skills, and a structured approach to problem-solving.

Your primary work tasks

  • Ensure proper manning of the company's ships in accordance with the company's and authorities' requirements.
  • Recruitment of maritime employees
  • Work with HR tasks such as well-being, employee development, and optimization of internal processes.
  • Handling of HR-related inquiries from the ships
  • Coordination, registration, and follow-up on courses
  • Participate in the duty roster

We are looking for a colleague who works independently, is structured, and focuses on solutions. You thrive in a role with close collaboration and have ongoing phone contact with the ships, while maintaining an overview in a busy everyday life.

  • Preferably has experience in recruitment.

  • Has good IT skills and understanding of administrative systems and processes.
  • Has good language skills in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
