The Arctic Command is therefore seeking a new press and communications advisor for the Arctic Command in Nuuk, who has political acumen, can tell the important story of the command's mission, handle press inquiries, make arrangements with production companies, and create a good relationship with the local populations in Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

About the position

As a press and communications advisor at Arctic Command, you work broadly with communication and advise the top management on both media inquiries and ongoing communication needs. At the same time, you have a key role in relation to the communication plans concerning the Arctic in the Defense and collaborate with the Defense Command's communications department.

Your tasks in the Arctic Command will include:

You will be organizationally placed in the Management Element, which provides management support and advice to the leaders in the Arctic Command.

About you

You are a trained journalist or have a relevant higher education in communication. It is an advantage if you have experience from the Arctic region or military experience, but it is your communication skills that are crucial. As a person, you have a good sense of the situation and are motivated to work in a politically governed organization where consideration must be given to various stakeholders. Your strong communication skills enable you to present your conclusions in an easily understandable way. You have high professional standards, are a strong analyst, and have the ability to manage details while keeping focus on strategic goals.

You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, thrive on working independently, and find it natural to collaborate with others and build relationships both internally, across the organization, and with external partners.

The position is for you if you want to work in an organization undergoing significant development with great opportunities for skill development and exciting tasks.
