Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for an engaged and development-oriented digitalization consultant for IT & Digitalization.

We are facing an exciting development where digitalization should support better service and more efficient workflows. Therefore, we are looking for an employee who is eager to help build and develop our digitalization area.

The position is versatile, and the tasks will evolve in line with the needs of the department and the organization. You will be part of a department where we continue to build structures, create overview, and strengthen digital maturity across the municipality.

The position is particularly relevant for a newly graduated computer scientist or a candidate with a corresponding IT professional background who wishes to develop within digitalization, project work, and information security.

About the position

As a digitalization consultant, you will work at the intersection of technology, business, and development. You will have the opportunity to participate in both strategic and practical tasks, where you will help identify opportunities, develop solutions, and support the ongoing digital development in the municipality.

In the initial period, there will be a focus on creating an overview, documenting existing solutions, optimizing workflows, and contributing to establishing a strong foundation for future digitalization initiatives.

Your tasks may include

·Participation in the municipality's digitalization projects

·Development and implementation of digital solutions

·Analysis and optimization of workflows and processes

·Mapping and documentation of systems and digital workflows

·Contribution to cleaning up and structuring the municipality's digital landscape

·Participation in cross-public digitalization projects and collaborations

·Collaboration with professional areas to identify and realize digital opportunities

·Testing, implementation, and documentation of new solutions

·Contribution to the work with information security and data protection

·Working with access and rights management

·Assisting in the assessment of systems and solutions with a focus on compliance, security, and good digital governance

·Other tasks within IT, digitalization, and development in line with the department's needs

Criminal record:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the rules for rent payment applicable at any time in the properties of the Government of Greenland and the municipality in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacation housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
