The Tax Agency is looking for a project manager and a process consultant to oversee the development of a new digital tax system in Nuuk. The positions involve managing pre-analysis, procurement, and implementation, as well as mapping and improving workflows. Knowledge of IT projects and the tax area is an advantage.
Do you want to help give Greenland a new tax system?
The Tax Administration is looking for a project manager and a process consultant to manage the digital development. You will be a central part of the transition from the current eTax to a new digital tax system, from pre-analysis and tender to implementation and migration.
This is a rare opportunity to leave a lasting mark on one of the country's most important public IT solutions.
About the Tax Administration
The Tax Administration (Akileraartarnermut Aqutsisoqarfik) is Greenland's central tax authority and is under the Minister for Finance. The administration collects taxes and duties, recovers arrears for the Self-Government, and manages the mandatory pension scheme. The headquarters is located in Nuuk. The administration has daily contact with citizens and businesses across the country.
You will be part of the department that handles data and digitalization.
At the Tax Administration, we want to inspire and develop our employees, and work every day to ensure the framework for giving you tasks that can challenge and develop you and where you have the opportunity to perform.
About the task
The current tax system needs to be replaced, and the Tax Administration has therefore initiated a pre-analysis that will form a tender-ready basis for a new system.
At the same time, the Tax Administration has gradually begun a process with its IT management, so responsibilities, prioritization, and collaboration with suppliers are in place before the major development process begins. The project manager and process consultant work closely together on both tracks and are the link between the business, management, and external suppliers.

- Prepare decision bases and realistic plans that take into account capacity, risks, and dependencies
- Follow up on security findings and risks and ensure stable operation of the current eTax during the transition period

Your profile
- You have experience in carrying out digitalization and IT projects from needs clarification to implementation and handover to operations
- You preferably have knowledge of the IT security area

- You have experience with supplier management, including orders, estimates, delivery agreements, and follow-up on finances, quality, and progress
- You can prepare decision bases and realistic plans that take into account capacity, risks, and dependencies
- You can involve professionals and management and ensure that testing, approval, training, and handover become part of the implementation
Process Consultant
As a process consultant, you translate professional knowledge into clear workflows, requirements, and changes in everyday life.
Your tasks
- Map current workflows together with employees as part of the pre-analysis
- Translate business needs into requirements and acceptance criteria for the new system
- Document business and calculation rules, data flows, and data quality as a basis for development, testing, and migration of data from eTax
- Facilitate interviews and workshops across professional areas
- Make new workflows work in practice through training and knowledge transfer
- Support local process owners in maintaining and improving workflows
Your profile
- You have experience in mapping and improving workflows across departments, professional areas, and IT systems
- You can facilitate interviews and workshops and translate employees' professional knowledge into understandable process descriptions with clear responsibilities
- You can translate business needs into concrete requirements and acceptance criteria that both professionals and IT suppliers can work with
- You can create coherence between workflows, data, and systems, including documenting central business rules and identifying issues with data quality and handovers

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the tax area.

You must be able to work structured with several parallel tasks and have the ability to prioritize.
We encourage you to apply even if you cannot check all the points on the list. The most important competencies for us are curiosity and the desire to make a difference.
