At Dr. Ingrid's Hospital, we are looking for a committed and proactive operations manager for our cleaning and laundry function. You will be a central part of the hospital's service organization and will be responsible for ensuring high quality, efficient operations, and a good working environment for the employees.

The hospital's cleaning and laundry service plays a crucial role in patient safety, hygiene, and the overall patient experience. Therefore, we are looking for a leader who can create structure, development, and engagement in a daily routine where quality and collaboration are in focus.

You will be part of a department manager group responsible for the daily operations of the porter central, central kitchen, and cafeteria.

Your responsibilities:

As an operations manager, you will have overall responsibility for:

• The daily management of cleaning and laundry employees
• Planning and coordinating tasks, staffing, and duty schedules
• Ensuring high quality in cleaning, hygiene, and laundry service
• Monitoring operational goals, quality assurance, and documentation
• Recruitment, onboarding, and competency development of employees
• Sick leave follow-up and employee well-being
• Budget follow-up and resource optimization
• Implementation and development of workflows and procedures
• Close collaboration with the hospital's clinical departments and other service functions
• Ensuring compliance with applicable hygiene, working environment, and safety requirements

We expect you to:

• Have experience with personnel management, preferably within cleaning, laundry, facility management, or the healthcare sector
• Have good organizational skills and can maintain an overview in a complex operation
• Be visible, present, and clear in your leadership style
• Be able to motivate and develop employees with different professional backgrounds
• Have an understanding of financial and resource management
• Work systematically and with quality awareness
• Have good collaboration skills and communicate respectfully across the organization

About us:

The position is organizationally anchored in Internal Service and reports to the Chief of Staff for Internal Service. You will play a central role in ensuring that the hospital's cleaning and laundry function supports the core task: to create the best conditions for safe treatment and care of patients.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
