Health Assistant for the QUPANUK Nursing Home in Sisimiut

The nursing home QUPANUK in Sisimiut is looking for a health assistant

QUPANUK is a workplace with around 70 employees. There is room for 44 residents, who are distributed across 2 departments; the care department with 22 places including 2 respite places, and the dementia department with 22 places, including 2 double rooms for couples. QUPANUK also has its own kitchen, cleaning staff, and laundry staff, and you will therefore be part of a workplace with many different professions and functions.

Emphasis is placed on strengthening and maintaining each resident's ability for self-care, and that the house, its residents, and staff are part of a community with respect for the individual.

The working hours are 40 hours a week. Full-time employment with 40 hours of work, where a fixed 2-week rolling schedule is applicable. Your tasks will include:

• Personal care and support, and help ensure that care is provided in accordance with the purposes, goals, and rules established for the area
• Contribute to creating trust and security through dialogue and conversation
• Work to strengthen the resident's functional level and resources, with rehabilitative workflows
• Be involved in further developing the nursing home by participating in the ongoing development in the area

• Have a desire to use your professional skills
• Preferably are bilingual

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the agreements applicable at any time between the Greenlandic Home Rule and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Start date November 1, 2026, or by agreement.
